MACRAMÉ - a form of textile making using knotting rather than weaving.

     MICRO MACRAMÉ -
is finer more delicate variation, which I use with various beads, and focal points to create a necklaces.

RAKU - is a form of Japanese pottery characterized by low firing temperatures. I use a stoneware clay body and bisque fired at 900°C (1650°F) and glaze fired (the final firing) between 800-1000°C (1450-1800°F) this may be followed by the piece being surrounded by flammable material i.e. paper straw, wood shavings this process allow the portions of the body that has not been covered by glaze to absorb the smoke providing a beautiful contrast between rawness of unglazed black (smoked) areas and the glazed areas.
